Summary

“Addressing the critical shortage of speech therapists in schools”

ACCESS is a 30-month Erasmus+ funded project implemented by 7 organisations from Lithuania, Greece, Romania, Italy and Spain.

It aims at the detection and management of learning difficulties, in the context of the mainstream primary school. Early detection is crucial, especially for children aged 6-10, as timely intervention can be highly effective and reduce the need for specialized support.

aim

The aim of the ACCESS project is to empower primary school teachers with knowledge and tools and support parents with appropriate materials to promote inclusive education for children aged 6-10 years, who face learning difficulties.

The main objectives of the project are summarised as follows:

  • Equip teachers with knowledge and tools to detect and address emerging learning difficulties.
  • Provide support and resources to teachers to help them effectively detect emerging learning difficulties and manage them efficiently in regular classrooms.
