The Greek agri-food sector is built on businesses that combine tradition, local knowledge and innovation. Today, however, these businesses are also being called upon to adapt to new environmental requirements, digital developments and changing market needs. 

As a partner of the European project EU FOODPACT, EMVIO is currently inviting Greek micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) operating across the agri-food value chain to participate in a short survey and share their experience. 

The survey aims to understand the real needs of agri-food businesses: the sustainable practices they already apply, the challenges they encounter, the skills they need to strengthen and the areas where additional training or support could make a difference. 

The findings will contribute directly to the next stages of EU FOODPACT and help shape practical tools, training and support based on the realities of the sector — rather than assumptions about what businesses need. 

From participation to collaboration 

The survey is only the beginning. EU FOODPACT is establishing Community Food Education Hubs across its participating countries, bringing together agri-food enterprises, education and training providers, business-support organisations and other relevant stakeholders. 

Greek businesses participating in the research can also express their interest in becoming part of this growing community. Collaborating enterprises will have opportunities to exchange knowledge and good practices, connect with other actors in the sector and gain visibility through EU FOODPACT activities.
