The project addresses one of the most overlooked but essential challenges in education: effectively supporting children aged 6-10 with <strong>learning disabilities (LDs)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Rather than isolating students with learning difficulties, ACCESS aims to <strong>transform the learning environment itself.<\/strong> Through targeted training, easily accessible resources and school-family collaboration, the project enhances early identification and management of LDs in mainstream classrooms.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Objectives of the project<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>ACCESS is driven by specific objectives:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>To empower <strong>primary teachers<\/strong> to identify, understand and manage LDs in the classroom.<\/li>\n<li>To equip <strong>parents<\/strong> with the necessary tools and knowledge to actively support their children&#8217;s learning.<\/li>\n<li>Strengthen <strong>early detection and intervention<\/strong> through inclusion strategies.<\/li>\n<li>Strengthen <strong>school-family cooperation<\/strong>, creating a single framework of support.<\/li>\n<li>To raise awareness in the educational community and society about learning difficulties and the need for inclusion.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Project deliverables<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>To achieve the objectives, ACCESS is developing three main deliverables:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><strong>Asynchronous Training Program for Teachers<\/strong> &#8211; Digital self-paced learning program that provides practical knowledge and strategies for early identification and management of LDs in the general classroom.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Digital Library for Teachers<\/strong> &#8211; A collection of tools, activities, lesson plans and support materials tailored to the needs of children with LDs.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Toolkit for Parents<\/strong> &#8211; Guidance material with tips, activities and information on supporting children at home and working with teachers.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Each deliverable is designed with functionality, accessibility and long-term use in mind.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Who benefits<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The project is addressed to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Primary school <strong>teachers<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Pupils with learning difficulties<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Parents and families of<\/strong> children 6-10 years old<\/li>\n<li><strong>Special education teachers and support staff<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Education policy makers and policy makers<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Why it is important<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>ACCESS promotes a proactive and collaborative approach: early identification of difficulties, in-class support and active parental involvement.
