On 13 February 2025, the partners of the Erasmus+ project Fit for the Future (F4F) met in Bastia, France, for the kick-off transnational meeting of the project. The meeting was held at the historic Couvent des Capannelle venue by the host organisation BGE Ile Conseil and aimed to coordinate the first actions and establish a common framework for cooperation.
The day began with the official welcome of the partners and the presentation of the main objectives of the project.
Creation of the online self-assessment tool
The first session focused on the development of the self-assessment tool, which was presented by the University of Aveiro. The design and technical specifications of the online self-assessment tool, which will be aimed at managers, trainers and staff in VET organisations, were discussed, as well as the creation of a related database. The methodological approach, guidelines and timetable for the development of the tool were presented. The partners exchanged views and suggested improvements to the methodology and planning of the next steps.
Mapping of target groups and awareness campaign
In the next session, the partners worked on the process of mapping the target groups and related actors who will participate in the case studies and interviews, which will lead to the development of the self-assessment tool.
EMVIO then presented the awareness campaign to tackle prejudices. The project dissemination plan and planned actions were presented, while Taste Roots presented the first ideas for awareness-raising material and activities. The partners exchanged views and drew up an initial action plan.
Project management and next steps
The last session focused on the general project management steps. The University of Aveiro presented the quality assurance and risk management plan, while CCIB analysed the impact measurement plan. BGE Ile Conseil presented the management plan, monitoring tools and financial management of the project.
The meeting concluded with a review of decisions, planning for the next meeting and farewells to the participants.
The Fit for the Future kick-off meeting was a dynamic start, laying the foundations for the successful implementation of the project.
With the participation of partners from France, Spain, Cyprus, Italy, Greece, Portugal and Germany, the F4F project aims to bring about meaningful change in the field of vocational education.
