About us
The purpose of EMVIO NGO is non-profit organization and includes mainly of activities in the fields of:
- Social solidarity and care
- Culture
- Environmental protection
- Public Health
In addition, EMVIO purposes are:
- The cooperation with Municipalities and Government organizations to promote joint programs in the above sectors with the ultimate goal of developing the social economy.
- The implementation of environmental, cultural, and social awareness actions for the protection and promotion of the natural and cultural environment, as well as conferences, festivals, digitization of ecological and cultural content, cultural events and individual actions in non-profit infrastructure projects.
- The creation of a “knowledge community” and information bank for volunteers working in the fields of environment, culture, social care and quality of life, through horizontal communication, networking and consulting within the framework of various collective organizations.
- The creation of the necessary conditions and know-how capabilities for supporting and consulting businesses with program design and studies.
- The creation of a forum and study center for the promotion of the NGO’s areas of interest with the ultimate goal of strengthening local employment.
- The information of social groups of youth, women, disabled people for the creation of self-employment consulting and small businesses in the field of social economy.
- The undertaking of international initiatives and collaborations with other reliable bodies such as NGOs, Local Authorities, University Networks, Cooperatives, Chambers, etc. with the aim of developing social solidarity actions in Greece and in third countries to reduce poverty and the disadvantage of population groups, as well as for the access of these groups to the knowledge society.The information of social groups of youth, women, disabled people for the creation of self-employment consulting and small businesses in the field of social economy.
- The preparation of studies and the undertaking of development initiatives in Greece and in foreign countries to create local employment opportunities for weaker population groups, women, young people and people with disabilities.
- The promotion of institutional forms of dissemination of scientific knowledge in countries that do not belong to the European continent and are not members of the community.
- The strengthening of convergence mechanisms towards the European Union, the countries of Eastern and Central Europe.
- Taking initiatives to implement cultural exchange programs and travels for educational, research and scientific purposes and exchange of new and corresponding exchanges with collective organizations that promote social goals (education, training, gender equality, etc.).
- Preparing studies and undertaking development initiatives in Greece and abroad to create local employment opportunities for weaker population groups, women and young people.
- EMVIO provides support services aimed at combating poverty and social exclusion. At the same time, participates in cooperation with other networks in submitting proposals at national and European level.
